A quick rant leading into college footballs opening kick…
According to many (if not all) of the top Sports sources & publications, this years regular season should be avoided altogether so that we may skip straight to the title game.
What two teams are they betting the farm on?
One team projected to be there is no stranger to the big game, it’s none other than the Trojans of USC. While the other team hails from the glorious state of Louisiana & the powerful SEC conference.
Arguing the destiny of the “Men of Troy” could be futile to say the very least… After all they do have 12 running backs that could start for any other program in the country, or so I’m told.
But I do find it hard to believe that the Tigers will be able to run the table in the SEC, where there are 5 other teams ranked in the preseason top 25. How do you replace the 1st pick in the NFL draft, Jamarcus Russell, along with the drafts 6th overall pick, Washington Redskins Leron Landry? Lets not forget about the two dynamic receivers who absolutely ran laps around the Notre Dame secondary in the Sugar Bowl (not the most difficult of accomplishments but I’m just sayin’) Craig Davis and Dwayne Bowe. I don’t care how good the new recruits are supposed to be…
Matt Flynn will no doubt be the unfortunate fall guy should LSU trip up this year, & they will.
Why is it when other schools lose key starters (oh I don’t know, say Notre Dame for example) they are immediately thrown in the shark tank. The Tigers should be prepared to hold their breath as they sink to the bottom of the SEC.
